Wave The White Flag?
I recently ran across a discussion on a trying to conceive advice board that struck home with me. The discussion centered on the topic of when to give up trying to conceive, if ever. Lord knows I’ve been pondering this same thought in my mind for a month or two (okay, many more than that), but I haven’t actually discussed my thoughts with anyone. As I read through the posts, it struck me that so many of us feel the exact same way — and, at the same time, it’s so incredibly hard to put those feelings into words. Giving up - or not - is such a personal thing. And you always hear, “It’ll happen once you stop trying so hard.” For a lucky few, maybe. Who knows? Could *I* be one of the lucky few? Could you? I’m still not sure I’m ready to throw in that towel or wave the white flag … I want to wave a pretty baby pink or blue flag instead.
