When you’re diagnosed as infertile, many women learn to lean on their faith. We need someone, something, to look to when we feel like we’ve nothing to count on. Month after month of failed cycles are definitely trying on the spirit.
Women across the country are turning to a group called Vision of Faith when they need a comforting, Christian hand to help them through the trials of infertility. Not your ordinary “prayer chain” type of group, these women don’t toss their religious beliefs on anyone. In fact, pretty much anyone of any denomination is welcome to join their group. However, you can rest assured that if you come to the group and ask them to pray for you, it is going to happen - daily in fact.
In addition, Vision of Faith is not just a support group, but a funding group as well. These women have developed a plan to help fund tubal and vasectomy reversals. Although IVF funding isn’t available, it wouldn’t surprise me to see it happen in the future. Tia Daugharty, the President and founder of the group, underwent a tubal reversal procedure in May 2006.
